Late Model Chassis for 53-56 F-100

First time on the forum....has any of you tried to put a late model (97 - up )F-150/Ranger under a 53 to 54 F-100. Seems like their would be a lot of advantages if it could be done....just wondering. Wife would like a truck now that I have my muscle car done....:)

havent done a ranger but have sliced and diced a full size 74 half ton longbed down to size and put my old 55 1/2 ton on it .never got it finished though , impatient spouse and a wrecker can mess things up .......... there is a guy on another site im on who has a now finished and running 56 on an explorer of i think 92 or 93 vintage . he cut the floorpan and everything outta the 56 the modified the explorer stuff to fit it and it turned out great .
