What is the most important lesson you have learned from restoring a vehicle?

One of the most important things I learned is how to properly estimate the cost of the restoration.

If you believe that a potion of your restoration will cost $XX.XX then you need to look at the worst case scenario and refigure for your budget in an effort to avoid unpleasant surprises!

Taking pictures will help document the project as well as help you during a reassembly or locating hard to find parts.

Third: Do not rush it! The addage, 'good things comes to those that wait' is spot on correct! I have seen eveidence of others work and when asked about the glaring imperfections/flaws, the answer was always the same; "I hurried through that."

If you take your time you'll be rewarded with a better end result and compliments on a job well done!

Lesson four: Keep your kids involved! My kids are capable of oil changes, timing adjustments, etc! They love it!:D
