I have a 52 GMC and a 1985 s -15 long box . I measured both frames and found that the 52 out side of the frame is 36in and on the 1985 s-10 the inside is 36 in .Thinking about cutting the 52 and using the s-10 clip ,cutting it back under the cab and over laping about a foot and then using some plate on top and botton .like to hear from some build guys out there since this my first build .Thanks Robert

Welcome to the board Robert! Here's an article (http://chevytrucks.org/tech/s10_frame_swap.htm) I found on using the S-10 frame, and here's one (http://www.ad-engineering.com/) or two (http://www.e-zchassisswaps.com/) sites that sell components designed to make the task easier.

I'll be starting one in the near future, and I've done a bit of research on it. This seems like the easiest, cheapest, and probably the best method I've seen.
