Hey guys,

I just finished my engine about a week ago and I ran it on a dyno today to break in the cam and get the carbs ajusted properly.
Engine description:
500ci 1970 Cadillac Eldorado engine, bored .030
KB 10-1 hyperutectic pistons
Forged connecting rods
solid lift cam
ported heads
racing style intake with 2 Holley 670 street avenger carbs(rejetted up 10 sizes and changed secodary vaccuum springs)

Results: 516hp and 545ft-lb torque.

I will try and post pics if I can get them resized to fit.

Mr_Mac,

This will be going into a 1951 Chevy truck. I am in the process of doing the S-10 frame swap also.

That's a nice looking power plant you have there!

What frame mods (if any) will need to be made to prevent severe twisting under power (since we all know that you will likely use that throttle in such a manner as to seriously reduce your fuel mileage;) )!

Mr_Mac,

You are right about not being able to keep my foot out of the engine. I want to drive the truck with that engine in it so bad I can hardly stand it. It has me very motivated to get the drivetrain finished. I will be installing a X member at the minimum. I am pondering the idea of boxing the rest of the frame. The front is already boxed to the front cab mount.

With that torque monster I would atleast box the frame to the rear axle.

boxing the frame would definitely be a wise decision.

better to do too much busy work now then regret it the first time you lay into that beast.

I agree with everyone here...box that frame and keep everything in line! ;)

I guess now is the time to box it while everything is taken apart. Won't be hard to do right now.

Thanks for the suggestions.
