Hello everyone,

For starters, im new to the site, i have a '71 chevy c20, and im a senior in highschool.

Anyways, my dilemna: The wonderful state of Washington requires all seniors to do a "culminating project". Basically, the project is used to deteremine whether or not you have the skills to be succesful in the workplace. Right. Anyways, my project is "automotive restoration". Problem is, i have a pretty stripped c20 with severe rust damage to the cab floor. Rocker panels are gone, and the floor is slowly starting to eat itself away. The three options im entertaining are:

1) Order patch panels for the roughly 60% of the cab floor.

2) If possible, locate an entirely new, fabricated sheet metal floor.

3) Go junkyard digging and locate a useable cab.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if pictures are needed to assess the damage, let me know i have some floating around somewhere.

Thanks,

Dj

PS, welding isn't really an issue... i have access to one, and im skilled in that area.
