2 ton or 3 ton? - S1600 Model

Hello,

I am buying an old 89' International S1600 & was wondering if it's a 2 ton or 3 ton model. It has 19 1/2 in. wheels if that helps.

Believe that would be a 2 but you could order IH trucks so many differant ways they were able to tout Americas most complete line of trucks. Eitherway you're looking at a Loadstar & this forum http://oldihc.org/index.php?module=pnForum&func=viewforum&forum=11 would be of interest to you. God bless

Hard to tell. Your local International dealer can get you a copy of the line set sheet, just take them the last 8 of the VIN. You will need it anyway to get many parts. This is not a Loadstar, but what IH called a medium S-line.
