Haven't seen anyplace to introduce myself, but this is where I was hoping to spend the most time. I am the proud 4th owner of the '55 pictured here. My dad got it in 1982 as a parts chaser for his '56 BelAir project and wound up restoring it as well. My plans are to build a period-correct (to about 1960) mild custom out of it and drive it until I can't anymore. First show planned is in Indy in June, so I have a ways to go yet. Still needs a stock-suspension lowering and some mild shaving, and a few other things before then.

The truck is still very stock, except for the late '60s steel wheels and baby moons. Immediate plans (before June) are to pull, reseal and detail the stock 265 and slap on a set of '56 Vette valve covers I picked up at a swap meet, new tires, lower it, and bolt the bed back together. After that, who knows. I grew up with this truck, and Dad had a few friends with Task Force trucks also, including a '56 3100 NAPCO, a '57 Cameo, and a '55 GMC short step that's been this guy's daily driver for about 24 years.
