Relocating the fuel tank

I have a 1963 swb stepside with the fuel tank in the cab behind the seat. Anyone have a suggestions on an alternate location to mount the tank? Under the bed is where it will end up, but I am trying to figure out how to mount so I have access to fill the tank outside the bed instead of inside.

Had same question putting my 62 together. Ended up with tank from mid 80's ranger mounted between rear frame rails(fit perfectly, no need to modify crossmember) As for filling,using small round cable operated gas door from 80's dodge caravan, buit filler neck thru side panel of bed thru fender then thru floor. once mocked up into place, built cover to protect and conseal it. watch your angles on the fill hose,too sharp and it fills slow.
