For a complete front end rebuild I've compared prices with NAPA, Brothers and LMC. The rebuild would include a drag link repair kit, tie rod, L&R tie rod ends and king pins. Brothers has most of what I need and as well as sales and better prices on most parts.

Their tie rod is much cheaper than LMC yet LMC's tie rod ends are 25 bucks compared to 90 bucks that Brothers wants. Brothers does advertise them to be heavy duty compared to the older type and I don't know how well LMC's material is made other than a fuel tank neck from them which wasn't shabby.

My questions are which do you think makes a better product between Brothers and LMC and if I purchased the tie rod from Brothers and the tie rod ends from LMC do you think there would be a problem fitting them together because they come from each others competition?

I know this may sound simple to some but I'm just trying to avoid trial and error and reshipping. Thanks for any advice. Hoping some of you have had experiance with both.

Try "Classic Parts of America" on prices also. BTW it is all the same stuff no matter where you buy it. Nither one "makes" parts. Alot of the parts are made in China. Some made in the USA and other parts else where. The tie rod is the same no matter where you purchase it. Yes the tie rod ends will fit the tie rod. Again, this after market stuff is all the same.
They ALL advertise heavy duty. Call them and ask.

Thanks Rich. Just finished making my order with Brothers but may be calling monday to cancel tie rod ends if LMC is the same and much cheaper. Looked at CPA before but dont remember why I didnt go with them before. Seems some places have more cosmetic items than mechanical parts or they are just too hard to locate if your not sure what the proper name is or have a part number. Too late now anyhow but I do appreciate the feedback. Also have more to add down the road so will take another look at CPA. Thanks!

The best thing to do is get as many catalogs as you can and compare. Get Classis Parts of America's catalog and here is another one.
