engine swap

I have a 47 chevy 3/4 long. I want to change it out to a 305 or 283, whichever I can get my hands on.

Does anyone know where i can get engine mounts.

Measure out side frame to outside frame behind the straight axel. Call Classic Parts of America and talk to the tech and see what he has to say. The V8 motor mount they carry is some what adjustable by a few inches on each side.

As mich said, classic parts of america, they have a good v8 motor mount that works well with these old trucks, thanks to this simple design of the frame. Other companies are LMC or Jim carter but classic parts of america is good. The rear of the motor should mount up easy to the bell housing or frame mounts.
