Pre war pickup chassis options

Does anyone have any experience with using an S-10 Chevy pickup chassis undre the skins of a 37 Ford 1/2 ton pickup? Can it be done and would it save money over adding new front clip and third member? Any help would be appreciated.

Manny,

Yes the Chevy S-10 can be used for this application. However, the Dodge Dakota chassis is a better option from the standpoint of wheel base and track. I have seen more of these swaps than the S-10. I do not know about using a Ranger chassis, I have not heard of anyone going that route.
