What year?

I'm new to the forum, and it doesn't look like this area recieves much traffic but hey I need some help.

I found this old Ford pick up, I'm guessing its a 1-ton and also guessing the year to be 28 or 29. It appears to have a 4 cylinder engine. It should go without saying that most of the cab (floor and behind the seat) WAS made out of wood and is now gone. I will attempt to post some pictures. Any help would be greatly apreaciated.

I've been trying to get in contact with the property owner for about a week now, with no luck. Hopefully I can get a hold of this project for a good price.

Well, somebody has beat me to the truck. But if anyone does know any tell tale signs of how to tell the early models apart I would be greatfull. BTW are there VIN #s on vehicles this old? I couldn't find any on this truck, but of course that doesn't mean that there weren't at one time.
