John bought his project truck three years ago from local farmer in Cookeville, Tennessee.  The truck had no engine or transmission. John then bought a parts truck to help supply some needed parts and the project began.  

John started by rebuilding the engine from the donor truck, a 360 FE block and installed a new 3 speed.  A new 2 1/4" dual exhaust was installed with stock oval mufflers to insure the 360 could breath well
 
Then it was onto the rear-end, rebuilding it with the stock 4:10 ratio.  John replaced the original OEM Spindles with stock OEM Spindles from a later model 1974 F150 so that he could convert to front disc brakes. During the front end work, all the tie-rods and bushings where replaced and power steering was added in to balance it all out.

Next, the body was removed and completely disassembled. Fully broken down, all the body pieces were "media" blasted inside and out. Once primed, all the vintage iron was painted a 1990 Mustang Chrome Yellow.   The body was then reassembled using all stainless steel bolts.

   
The interior (not complete yet) uses a set of 40/20/40 seats from a 1995 Ford F150 covered in a factory gray material. The door panels and the trim for the headliner are done in Power Coated Gray.  The headliner itself was replaced with the new style gray cloth.

The shifter was moved to floor in favor of the crisp shifting over that of the sloppy column shifter.  John plans to use the truck as a daily driver.
